Joint Commission Standards

JCIA made the first move to respond the increased demand on standard based evaluation of the health care. JCIA aims to impose objective standard series and processes to health care organizations of international societies, create continuous and permanent improvement programs and determine standards considering local needs. The philosophy of the standards is based on quality management and continuous improvement principles. Standards are set for all activities and there are basic standards that the institution needs to meet. There are high standards for patient safety and patient care. Accreditation includes legal, religious and cultural factors of the country where the health care institution is located.
