What should I do before a hair transplant?

Before the surgery you should inform the doctor about your medical health and usage of medicine.
With your doctor’s control you can discontinue to use blood-thinning medications such as aspirin at least 1 week before.
Since herbal teas such as green tea may increase bleeding, before surgery avoid foods and beverages that will cause bleeding. (Ginger, turmeric, garlic, red wine, some kinds of peppers, olive oil)
Since smoking can affect the healing process negatively, the patient should avoid consumption or use of tobacco and tobacco products.
1 week before the hair transplant it is forbidden to consume alcohol or drink alcoholic products.

How many days should patients stay in Turkey for a hair transplant?

Generally 3 days are sufficient for a hair transplant. It is obligatory that, once patients arrive in Turkey they have to do PCR tests in our hospitals. According to the PCR test results patients can undergo hair transplant. There is no need to stay at the hospital, because the duration of the operation is from 4 to 10 hours. After the hair transplant patients are going back to their hotel. On the second day of the operation there will be first washing and patients can go back to their countries.
